The Fishmonger Alliance of Finland recommend Second Thought UPIDS
In a formal letter of support, The Fishmonger Alliance of Finland (Suomen Kalakauppiasliitto Ry) Executive Director Mr. Kari Ylihärsilä strongly recommend for it’s members in Finland to adopt the Second Thought UPIDS traceability system for conforming to European Union Common Fisheries Policy.
The Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry decided on April 4th 2022 to support the implementation of traceability of groceries with significant governmental funding, amongst them the CFP (Common Fisheries Policy).
In UPIDS, a digital twin is created for each batch code and the batch information can easily be transferred along the supply chain between companies, and also communicate the required information by the authorities to Horeca, Grocery stores and to wholesalers.
