Saimaan Tuore strengthens its product labelling with Second Thought’s UPIDS system and GS1 Digital Link

With the packaging reform, Saimaan Tuore, a pioneer in the fishing industry, is expanding the processing of its product information with new technology solutions.

Saimaan Tuore, Finland’s leading pioneer in the fishing industry, especially in recirculating rainbow trout, announces that it will strengthen its product labelling by introducing Second Thought’s UPIDS system. This strategic decision enables the renewal of consumer packaging with the GS1 Digital Link QR Code, which links to the UPIDS system and provides extended product information.

The use of the GS1 Digital Link code opens up new opportunities for Saimaan Tuore for direct interaction with consumers and product marketing. Antti Hannuniemi, Marketing Manager at Saimaan Tuore, emphasizes that the company’s goal is to provide consumers with added value through diverse product information, such as recipes and manufacturing videos.
